It is my belief that the universe was created by God to me all the other theories lack substance and reasoning, for such a beautiful and complex and intellectually designed universe and how it is able to take care of itself couldn't of happened by just a blind chance. Some people believe that there is no way God or any intelligent designer could of have created the universe. Those people tend to believe in The Big Bang or other sources of the universe's origin. They believe that if God did create the universe then where did God come from or if God did create the universe then why does he let such horrible things happen.Another argument they present is that it is impossible and against scientific proof that He was able to create the world in just six days.My argument against that is that if they say who created God they will keep saying who created them and then who created them but eventually you will need someone or something that existed not created but was there to start everything and that was God. Also on the argument that if God created the universe and us then why does he let such horrible things happen. When God created us he gave us free will and with that free will comes repercussions good or bad.On the issue of if God created the universe and in six days then why does science say that it took billions of years to create the world? My answer to that is that we created time and God is timeless so who's to say that six days is not billions of years Gods time schedule is timeless ours is not ours is limited. All in all God is the most plausible thing to believe in and not a random explosion of energy created the universe or other beliefs.

Who or what created the universe?
Some people believe that the Big Bang created the universe and some believe that God or another kind of intelligent designer created it and still some believe other theories. It is my belief that God was the intelligent designer that created the universe. The Big Bang makes no sense to me because the idea that the universe exploded into being makes no sense, if that was true then what caused the explosion what created the matter that was present to cause the explosion. With God creating the universe makes sense with Him being timeless he existed before anything. Cause for something to be created it needs a creator, you don't see computers or cars coming out of no where it needs an intelligent designer to create it. The theory of The Big Bang implies that the universe created itself and that's not logical. The universe is to complex to just have happened by blind chance. Also the inhabitants of earth are to comlex to have formed from the same single celled organism and that is the only way life could have been created by The Big Bang. God creating everything just seems more plausible than any other idea or theory and God creating the universe has been around longer than most if not all the theories of the creation of the universe.

blog#4 concepts and definitions

Theory- Theories are not always based on fact they can also be based on an opinion or an idea. Theories are generally used to explain something that knowledge or science cannot prove. They offer an answer to the questions that we can't prove or understand.(wikipedia. "theory." wikipedia. wikipedia foundation inc.. 3 Jun 2008 .)

Creationism- Creationism is the idea that the universe and heaven and hell were created out of nothingness by a god or deity of some sort.In the sense of Christianity the universe and the world was created by God in six days out of nothing. One type of creationist believers are The Young Earth Creationist, they estimate the world to only be 6,000 years old. ("Creationism." Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. 2003. Stanford University. 3 Jun 2008 .)

Cosmology- Cosmology is a branch of metaphysics where science and math are used to form theories about the origin of the universe. Some theories made by this are The Big Bang Theory, Newtonian cosmology, Lorenzian universe, MOND, and other theories. The Big Bang is the leading theory on the origin of the universe.Cosmology utilizes observation made by astronomers then they use mathematics to prove their findings. ("Physical Cosmology." wikipedia. Wikipedia foundation Inc.. 3 Jun 2008 .)

Evolutionism- Evolutionism is the belief that in the creation of the universe happened as a result of random cosmic accidents. It also says that life was created by chemical process in that chemicals combined to form the organism that life arose out of. With that said it says that everything is related with a common ancestry like a fish and a apple or a bird to algae or a ape to a human.("Evolutionism-Broad Strokes." All About Philosophy. 3 Jun 2008 .

Cosmic microwave background radiation- is radiation thought to be left behind by The Big Bang in the form of microwaves. This was discovered by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson in 1964 by accident when they were measuring radio waves bounced off satellites. They found the microwaves because of a steady noise that keep coming up on their receivers. They concluded that this noise was coming from outside our own galaxy.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discovery_of_cosmic_microwave_background_radiation)

I liked the points brought up by this video about The Theory of Evolution. It tells us that just looking at the different layers of sediment and rock and you can see how certain species have evolved over the years and the changes they exibit you can also see by looking in those same layers that some of those same species have become extinct and also how they have come back to existence in a similar form. This video also explains why we don't see monkeys turning into humans and why we don't see single celled organisms turning into frogs or even a multi-celled organism. This is because it takes thousands of years for a species to change and the only ones we can see some changes in are the ones that reproduce very quickly. Also they show bone structures of a whales flipper and then those of a human hand and you can plainly see the similarities between them; but how do you get a flipper from a fully funtional five finger hand or a water dependent mammal to a land dependent mammal?Even still this topic brings up more questions and more flaws in the information but like the others they are called theories for a reason because they are just that; a theory!

This video shows a good argument against the Big Bang Theory. This theory states that the universe was created by one big bang one giant explosion. The problem with this is that don't you need something to create something. For instance don't you need metal and glass to make a car or plastic and metal and glass to create a computer so why would't you need something or someone to create something like existence. Another point brought on by Frank Turek was that whatever created the universe must be timeless cause it created time and spaceless cause it created space and also imaterial cause it created material. Also in this video he brings on the point of Einstien's Theory of General Relativity in that he divided his equation which the theory is based on by zero just cause his math was pointing the fact that the universe was created and not eternal. The Bang Theory is based on the fact that the universe is eternal, but if you take the universe from where it is at you eventually get nothing. This makes the Big Bang Theory a little less valid in a pysiological sense.

This video is a little old but it brings some information supporting the idea of The Big Bang. Scientist hired by at&t to find out why there was an annoying hiss in calls being made. These scientist found out that the hiss they were hearing was the result of stray microwaves but the scientist couldn't figure out were they were coming from. With this information they found they took to scientist at Princeton which discovered that they stray microwaves were leftover heat from the Big Bang explosion. The explosion caused all the waves in the spectrum to come into being from colors to light all the way to the leftover microwaves.

This video shows some good arguments to Darwin's' Theory of Evolution. It brings in the point of how simple Darwin thought of the single celled organism was and how simple the molecule was and now that we have a better understanding of the makeup of the organism and the molecule we see how more complex it really is.Which makes me wonder is Darwin's theory valid, with all these breakthroughs in science it puts holes in his ideas cause now we know more and more in depth than Darwin did, is he still right or is his lack of knowledge on a molecular level his downfall in his Theory of Evolution. Also does Divine creation sound more plausible than evolution?

God and the origin of the universe and Do we survive death?

These two topics are ones that have always interested me because even with my beliefs I still ask myself these same question frequently. I choose God and The Orgin of The Universe because I was born and raise a christian and I belive God created the universe and i'm curious to the pro's and con's to creation. I have found websites that present new information to the support of devine creation like (http://www.cosmicfingerprints.com/audio/newevidence.htm) where astronomers have found new evidence and exotic matter in the universe that is changing the way they thought everything was created, it is making scientist question the theroy of evolution and the big bang theroy.
The other topic that interested me was Do We Survive Death which is a question we have all asked ourselves many of times.Scientist believe after you die thats it; they believe when your body ceases funtion thats it. Then some Philosophers like Socrates belive that death is just the beginning and the human body is just a hindurance to the pursuit of truth. Then you look at different religons and there belief and views on the afterlife. So it raises the question is death the end or is death just the beginning? Is the thought of the afterlife a comfort or a reality? If there is life after death then where do we go, do our spirits go somewhere else or wonder the world as a ghost or do we become reincarnated? These to me are some questions I ask myself often. Im interested in this topic in hopes it will answer my questions or at least to form a stronger opinion.
